Testing pH

Aim: why did we do the experiment? we did it to test the PH of a range of household chemicals

Equipment: what did you use for your experiment? It is a variety of household chemicals, such as spotting tile, red litmus paper, blue litmus paper, universal indicator solution, and safety glasses.

Method: add a few drops of each chemical to a spot on your spotting tile if a substance is solid or powdered you will need to mix it with a few drops of water before testing it. then you test the chemicals with litmus paper. after that test each chemical with a few drops of universal indicator

Results:

Discussion: starting discussion questions (you can include more detail)

each one was different chemicals cause some were acid or base dishwashing powder and spray and wipe were base well vinegar, fabric softener, and toilet cleaner are acid it is different for each one depending on the chemicals.

Conclusion: starting conclusion questions (you can include more detail)

well our experiment did work I believe we could have tried different stuff to see if they are acid, base, and neutral and I think we should concentrate on our work instead of trying to play around and doing something else.

periodic table blog post

Egg parachute experiment – legend

Aim

  • we were trying to make an egg parachute to make more air resistance so the parachute would go slow enough to stop the egg from breaking

Method:

  • plastic apron
  • black paper
  • scissors
  • tape
  • cotton wool
  • string
  • piece of egg carton

Results:

  • my egg only broke after it was already on the ground while trying to get it off the ground it took 1:89 seconds in 1st place

Discussion:

  • it is the cause of the lack of air resistance they had compared to my group less air resistance = fast falling well more air resistance = slow falling that is the only reason the other group one were quicker than my group also if the parachute is unbalanced it will lead the egg to possibly fall out to the ground breaking.

Conclusion:

  • our experiment went great it is also the fact that I won.

the 5 most important rules of football are no handball no kicking the ball out, and the goalie can’t touch the ball while the team is kicking the ball to you show sportsmanship

the one thing I improved at was me pasting my speed

the one thing I enjoyed was kicking people’s faces

I need to improve my fitness

I enjoyed being on the same team with Tane cause he is a good goalie

I always brought my PE gear to school

Out of 10, I would give myself a 5 for effort cause I was equal about everything

discussion: An individual’s genotype is the combination of alleles that they possess for a specific gene. An individual’s phenotype is the combination of their observable characteristics or traits. While an organism’s genotype is directly inherited from its parents, phenotype is merely influenced by genotype. Genes also are DNA sections that code for specific proteins or functional RNA, playing a crucial part in biological functions. Alleles, however, are variations of these genes, leading to diverse traits such as eye color.
